I recently spent a weekend at Tawas Bay Resort for a wedding, and while the location right by the beach was magnificent, I was disappointed with the state of the hotel overall. The rooms offered lovely views of the bay, but they were in dire need of updating and cleanliness could be improved. Dining at the on-site restaurant started strong with a nice breakfast menu, but some food wasn't up to par. Service had its moments of warmth, but the unfortunately persistent musty smell throughout the property detracted from the experience.
